THE NEW COMMANDANT OF INSTITUTE OF PEACE SUPPORT OPERATIONS TRAINING SRI LANKA BEGINS DUTIES

Brigadier S A Hettige RSP psc assumed duties as the fifteenth Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) during a brief ceremony held at the IPSOTSL on Friday 10 May 2024.

On arrival, the Commandant was welcomed by the Chief Instructor IPSOTSL and accorded a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance. Afterwards, he placed his signature in an official document signifying the taking over of his duties at his office amidst religious observances.

Combat Convoy Company Pre-deployment Course NO - 05 for MINUSMA (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali) was commenced on 31 October 2022 and concluded on 25 November 2022. Brigadier RADS Shantha Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc new commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka assumed duties on Wednesday 08 April 2020 during a simple ceremony at the office of the IPSOTSL.

After the religious observances he symbolically signed the first formal document and received greetings from other senior officers who were presented at the occasion.
