Brigadier D K S K Dolage USP psc the Director, Directorate of Training made an official visit to Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka on 28 July 2022.On arrival at the IPSOTSL, he was warmly received by Brigadier CA Rajapaksha RSP the Commandant, IPSOTSL. The Director training was invited to plant a Mangosapling to mark his visit to the training establishment. Next he posed for a group photograph with the Commandant, Chief Instructor, all invited senior officers and staff of the IPSOTSL as an icon of memory.

Subsequently, he participated a special briefing on the training aspects of the institute and upcoming training capsules. Moreover, he obtained a comprehensive awareness about the future development project of IPSOTSL and joined for refreshments at the main auditorium, IPSOTSL.

Thereafter, Brigadier Kapila Dolage addressed the all rank at the main lecture hall and shared few thoughts with the troops. Especially he emphasized the importance of being a well-organized soldier enriched with respectable conduct of discipline as a member of the staff of IPSOTSL and how positively it effects in the process of making peacekeepersto the world peace. Further he mentioned the rare benefits which we can obtain through this training institute to the SL Army as well also to the government of Sri Lanka by raising up the contribution of troops for the peacekeeping missions.

Lieutenant Colonel K S P Pothupitiya USP psc IG SLA, General Staff Officer I (Local Training), Major H M R P K Rajaguru psc SLNG, General Staff Officer II (Local Training), Major A P M Gunawardane SLE, General Staff Officer II (Foreign) were also presented during the visit.

The Director Training also paid a visit around the camp premises and the lane training areas and then he was invited to have the lunch at the Officers’ mess by the commandant. Finally before the departure, in keeping with military traditions, he pen down his gratitude on the visitors book of IPSOTSL.
