  SRI LANKAN TROOPS PARTICIPATED FOR UNITED NATIONS FIELD TRAINING EVENT (FTE) EX SHANTI PRAYAS - IV IN NEPAL
 

Field Training Event (FTE) EX SHANTI PRAYAS - IV is a Multi-platoon Exercise hosted by Nepal and co-sponsored by Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) under US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) which was conducted from 20 February to 04 March 2024 at Birendra Peace Operations Training Center - Nepal.

02 x officers and 19 x other ranks representing the Sri Lanka Army participated to the EX SHANTI PRAYAS -IV and platoons from 12 other countries too had joined the Exercise. A pre-course was conducted at IPSOTSL before participating the Exercise with the assistance of Lt Col M A A P Perera RWP RSP psc SLLI and Maj K N S Mendis SLAGSC who had attended the Train of the Trainers Event in Nepal. The objectives of the Exercise were enhance tactical-level peace operations training, exchange organizational Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to reinforce and improve tactical peace operations multinational interoperability and additional emphasis on Protection of Civilians (POC).
