Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) has commenced United
Nations Civil military Coordination (UNCIMIC) Course No - 06 sponsored by the Global Peace
Operations Initiative (GPOI) on 08 September 2025, with the opening remark by Overlooking
Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel P D S De Alwis RSP USP psc GW.

Mrs. Tracey Martineau from Canada facilitates the course as the Team Leader of Subject Matter
Expert of GPOI organization whilst, Mr. Victor Manuel Nunez from Argentina, Brig (Retd) Naresh Subba Limbu from Nepal facilitate as the other Subject Matter Experts.

The course is comprised with 32 x foreign and local tri forces Officers including 20 x Officers
from Sri Lanka Army, 2 x Officers from Sri Lanka Navy, 2 x Officers from Sri Lanka Air Force, and
08 x foreign Officer by representing Indonesia, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Nepal and Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, the Overlooking Commandant extended a warm welcome to the all
officers, including esteemed foreign participants and Subject Matter Experts.

This acknowledgement highlighted the opportunity to share and impart knowledge and experience
of the peacekeeping emphasizing the importance of international exposure and shared learning
experiences in related to United Nation environment.

The course will be terminated on 19 September 2025.
