Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) carried out a tree planting drive along Makeli Ella road to camp premises on Sunday (29)

Reforestation Programme was implemented under the supervision of Commandant Brigadier RADS Shantha Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc and Chief Instructor Lieutenant Colonel RA Samaranayake USP psc of IPSOTSL and All Ranks of the institute planted many valuable saplings including Mee (Madhuca Longifolia), Ceylon irionwood (Mesua Ferrea), Mango (Mangifera indica), Arecanut (Areca Catechu) and Jack (Artocarpus Heterophyllus) along the both sides of the road to the camp premises.

The main objective of this programme is to increase the forest density and natural diversity of the general area. The programme was successfully conducted with the participation of all troops of IPSOTSL.
