Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) has received recognition as one and only training establishment dedicated to train and prepare peacekeepers to the world peace marked its 18th anniversary in a series of commemorative events, giving pride of place to religious ceremonies.

At first, Troops in the IPSOTSL, took part in a shramadana campaignon 09June2022 which is done in conjunction with the anniversary celebration. Two teams of troops conducted two shramadana campaigns in Kosgulana and Kelinkanda and supported to clear the area which was affected from heavy rain fall. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks contributed to the success of this special event.

The same afternoon (13), after respecting to fallen war heroes, a special all rank lunch was arranged with the participation of all senior officersand it added significance to the occasion.

A special ‘Pirith’ chanting ceremony at IPSOTSL is held on Poson Poya Day, 14 June 2022 invoked blessings on the anniversary where Brigadier CA Rajapaksha RSP, the commandant together with GH Amitha RWP RSP psc the Chief Instructor, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Level II Hospital Component pre-deployment Course participated this event.
