Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) has commenced United Nations Logistics Officers’ Course (UNLOG) Course No - 7 sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) on 29 September 2025, with the opening remark by Commandant,Brigadier Y M S C B Jayathilake RSP USP.

Mrs. Tracey Martineau from Canada facilitates the course as the Team Leader of Subject Matter Expert of GPOI whilst, Mr. Stein Ellingsen from Norway, Mr. Jens Winther Andersen from Denmark and Mr. Marc Sheldon Spurling from USA facilitate as the other Subject Matter Experts.

The course is comprised with 30 x foreign and local tri forces Officers including 24 x Officers from Sri Lanka Army, 2 x Officers from Sri Lanka Navy, and 04 x foreign Officers by representing Bangladesh, Indonesia and Mongolia.

In his opening remarks, the Commandant extended a warm welcome to the all officers, including esteemed foreign participants and Subject Matter Experts.

This acknowledgement highlighted the opportunity to share and impart knowledge and experience of the peacekeeping emphasizing the importance of international exposure and shared learning experiences in related to United Nation environment.

The course will be terminated on 10 October 2025.
