United Nations Logistic Officers Course was held from 22 July to 02 August 2019 at IPSOTSL. It was conducted with the combination of US Pacific Command and Global Peace Operations Initiative. The course was consisted with five Student officers from Cambodia, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal and Philippine along with 22 local officers from Sri Lanka Army.

The Commandant of IPSOTSL Maj Gen PI Pathiratne graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest and the GPOI Subject Matter Expert Mrs Tracey Martineau, Lt Col Jagath Hemachandra RSP psc GR CI IPSOTSL, Lt Col Kasun Adhikari SLSC and Maj Riyaz Mohamed Lsc SLEME were contributed themselves as the permanent instructors of this course.

The ultimate objective of this course was to enhance the student officers’ logistic knowledge which they required to contribute their service under the United Nations flags in the international arena. Further students also got an opportunity to share their knowledge. The course was successfully terminated with the achievement of its targeted objectives. The closing remarks were customary marked by the Commandant IPSOTSL on 02 August 2019.
