Heralding the dawn of the New Year 2021, IPSOTSL commenced work on 01.01.2021, the first working day prioritizing few customary events. Giving pride of place for flag hosting, the day’s ceremony commenced.

Having unfurled the National flag by Brigadier KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu, Commandant of IPSOTSL and the Institute Flag by GADIS Samaranayake RSP, Project Officer of IPSOTSL. The National Anthem and the Army Song were recited and paid tribute to the memory of all War Heroes in the name of the motherland with a two minute silence. All members pledge their allegiance to the state by reading the State Oath. The New Year message of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army was read out to everybody.

Commandant extended his good wishes and blessings to All Ranks during his special troop address. Further he wished courage and strength to complete their tasks on time with new hopes and success in the New Year. All Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks presented the brief ceremony.
