  UNITED NATIONS PROTECTION OF CIVILIANS COURSE (UNPOC) – 02
 

United Nations Protection of Civilians Course (UNPOC) – 02 undertaken in collaboration with the United Nations and Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) commenced on 09 August 2021 and successfully completed on 13 August 2021 on the directions of the Commandant, Brigadier KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu and the Chief Instructor Colonel RA Samaranayake USP psc. The course was consisted with 29 student officers representing the tri forces of Sri Lanka.

The aim of this course is to provide a clear perception on protection of civilians with the support of skilled instructors from the GPOI.
All the lectures were delivered by a panel of qualified subject matter experts with their close supervision on the course outline and subject matters. Further, the course consisted with practical exercises to improve the student officers, as how to perform the duties by understanding the real ground situations of the communities in the UN.
