United Nations Staff Officers Course Number 03 - 2024 sponsored by the Global Peace Operation Initiative (GPOI) commenced on 11 of March 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL). Major General C A Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of IPSOTSL delivered opening remarks marking the inauguration of the course.

Mr. Jens Normen Hahne from Germany facilitates the course as the Team Leader of Subject Matter Experts of GPOI Organization whereas Mr. Jens Winther Andersen from Denmark and Mr. Dev Bahadur Chhetri from Nepal facilitate as the other Subject Matter Experts.

Further, the qualified instructor panel of the course is consisted of local and foreign Officer Instructors including Lt Cdr Mozahidur Rahman Sufi from Bangladesh ensures the quality of the learning experience.

The course is consisted of 23 Students Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, 03 Students Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, and 07 foreign students representing the friendly foreign nations including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia and Nepal.

The course will be terminated on 27 March 2024.
