The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Basic Course conducted at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) under the direction and guidance of the Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Dte of HR & HL) from 09 - 26 January 2023 was completed successfully. The course consisted with 47 officers from the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force, the Police and the Special Task Force.

The objective of the course was to develop the knowledge of officers on Human Rights, Humanitarian Law and its implication. Course curriculum is decided with the basic lessons of human rights and humanitarian law and it was highly concern on developing Instructor capabilities of every participant and produce skillful officer instructors to the Armed Forces, the police and the special task force.

The Closing remarks were delivered by the days chief guest, Brigadier UKDDP Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc the Director of Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
