United Nation Staff Officer Course (UNSOC) organized at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) commenced on 08.02.2021 and it was successfully completed on 05.03.2021 on the directions of the Commandant, Brigadier KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu and Chief Instructor Lieutenant Colonel RA Samaranayaka USP psc. The course was consisted with 32 Student Officers.

The Aim of this course was to prepare the student officers as Staff Officers and perform their respected duties as an Staff Officer under the flag of United Nation. All the lectures were delivered by a panel of qualified in house and visiting lecturers with their close supervision on the course outline and subject matters. Further, the course consisted with practical exercises to enhance the knowledge of the student officers, as how to execute the duties on ground.

Major General I O W Madola The Deputy Chief Of Staff attended to the certificate awarding ceremony and distributed the certificates for the officers, who had best performances during the course. As a customary, the closing remarks were delivered by the commandant of IPSOTSL, Brigadier KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu.
