A refresher course prior to attend the United Nations Field Training Event (FTE) SHANTI PRAYAS - IV was organized with the directions of Major General C A Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL). The refresher course was conducted from 16 January 2024 to 08 February 2024 and the FTE SHANTI PRAYAS - IV is scheduled to be held at Birendra Peace Operations Training Center - Nepal from 20 February 2024 to 04 March 2024.

The refresher course consisted of 2 x Officers and 19 x Other Ranks representing Combat and Combat Support Arms of the Sri Lanka Army. The course focused on making a professional peacekeeping soldiers and all main components of Pre-deployment Training aspects were covered during the course. The closing remarks were delivered by Major General C A Rajapaksha RSP the Commandant of IPSOTSL. During his closing remarks, he highlighted the importance of maintaining high standard of professionalism and discipline as peacekeepers and representatives of Sri Lanka Army. Further, he extended his warm wishes for all the participants. These participants will depart the country from Bandaranaike International Airport on 19 February 2024 in order to attend the said event in Nepal.
