Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu, the Commandnt, Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) who was recently promoted to the rank of Major General was honoured when he arrived at the training institute, IPSOTSL, Kukuleganga on 11 October 2021. Senior Officers, Officer Instructors, Other Ranks were presented to welcome and greet him on this special occasion.

Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officer II, Major KVSS Vithanage psc SLLI before he was invited to receive the salute of the ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the troops of the institute. In keeping with military traditions, Major General Sanjeewa Fernando received the Guard of Honour.

The Commandant addressed all troops at the main auditorium by adhering to all stipulated guidelines to prevent COVID-19 pandemic and made the troops aware of the importance of discipline and conduct which all military ranks and civil employees must abide by as per the Army Commander’s special instructions and directions issued on trends developing within the present day military.

Afterwards, he planted a sapling in the camp premises and the day’s proceeding concluded with an All Rank tea.
