  TERMINATION OF SRI LANKA AIR FORCE CONTINGENT PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSE (MINUSCA) NO - 09
 

Sri Lanka Air Force Contingent Pre-deployment Training Course (MINUSCA) No - 09 was commenced on 22 May 2023 and successfully completed on 22 June 2022. This course was consisted with 156 students (25 x Officer and 131 x ORs).

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has deployed an Aviation Unit in the Central Africa and it is tasked to carry out VIP transportation, transportation of food and equipment, domestic flying, para dropping and medical evacuation in the Central African Republic, in support of the overall UN mandate for that nation. In order to perform the duties and tasks effectively, it is essential to equip the peacekeepers with awareness and experiences on the UN medical and aviation background. The course has designed to provide the mandatory knowledge related to the United Nations and prepare proficient peacekeepers with high standards that are capable of performing duties collateral with the UN mandate. The course curriculum was consisted with many important proceedings such as Lane Trainings, Final presentation, examination and Field Training Exercise (FTE), Ex Eagle Base.

The closing remark was delivered by Brigadier CA Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of IPSOTSL.
