The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights advance course was commenced on 18 January 2022 at IPSOTSL under the direction and guidance of Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. The course consisted of 18 officers including two officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force and one Inspectors from Special Task Force of Sri Lanka Police and 27 Other Ranks from tri services and Police. The objective of the course was to enhance the knowledge of junior level officers and NCOs regarding Humanitarian Law, its implications and basic knowledge of Human Rights. The opening address was conducted by Brigadier KAN Rasika Kumara psc, the Director of Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
