Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Pre-Deployment Training Course Central Africa No 08 (MINUSCA) were commenced on 20 June 2022. Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Pre-Deployment Training Course Central Africa No 08 was consisted with 167 students (18 x Officer and 149 x ORs).

The course has designed to provide a basic knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations. The main objective of this training capsule is to offer a brief awareness about the relevant foreign countries, location, surroundings, climatic condition, cultures and specially the duties and responsibilities- which belongs to them according to the mandate. Moreover this was also designed where they could perform their tasks proficiently and effectively in liaison with various HQs and contingents in UN missions. Furthermore, the course was commenced under the directions and guidance of Brigadier C A Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of IPSOTSL and opening remarks was delivered by the Chief Instructor, Lt Col GH Amitha RSP USP psc SF.
