The French language course No. 07 was successfully conducted by the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training - Sri Lanka from 14 Oct 2019 to 29 Oct 2019. The course consisted with 01 Officer and 25 Other Ranks who suppose to undergo the pre-deployment training for MINUSMA contingent.

The objective of the course was to give a basic knowledge about the French language for the Officers and ORs which will be useful in their tenures in UN peacekeeping missions.

The course was decided to cover both theoretical and practical aspects with many extra-curricular activities related to French language in order to build up the confidence, mental flexibility and creative thinking. This was a priceless opportunity to the students as learning a new language opens up a new world and it is essential and invaluable.

Further this programme will enable them to lead to better opportunities in their military carriers when acting out their tasks regarding the UN peacekeeping missions.
