Combat Convoy Company Pre-deployment Course No - 4 for MINUSMA (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali) was commenced on 08 September 2021. The course consisted with 306 students (19 x Officers and 287 x ORs) representing various regiments.

The course has designed to provide a basic knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations. Furthermore the course is being conducted adhering to all health protocols and guidelines under the “Bio Bubble Concept” through a zoom platform. The main objective of this training capsule is to offer a brief awareness about the relevant host country and specially the duties and responsibilities which belongs to them according to the mandate. The peacekeepers should focus on duties, such as ensuring security, stabilization and protection of civilians, assisting the reestablishment of state authority, the rebuilding of the security sector, and the promotion and protection of human rights in that country.

The opening remark was delivered by Brigadier KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka.
