  SOUTH SUDAN LEVEL II HOSPITAL COMPONENT PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSE (UNMISS) NO – 10
 

South Sudan Level II Hospital Component Pre-deployment Training Course (UNMISS) No – 10was commenced on 17 May 2022 and successfully completed on 16 June 2022. South Sudan Level II Hospital Component Pre-deployment Training Course No 10 was consisted with 94 students (16 x Officers and 78 x ORs)

The Sri Lanka Army at the request of the UN, has established its first-ever SRIMED Level 2 Hospital in Bor, South Sudan, under the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). Establishing the hospital with ultra-modern facilities and medical equipment, all suppliedand installed by the Sri Lanka Army, has been known as one of the fastest and well-planned projects.

The course has designed to provide the requiredknowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations. The main objective of this training capsule is developing and strengthening awareness and understanding of United Nations Organization, Role and task of a Level II hospital, and the affiliate organizations which are involved in the process. Further the course focused to provide necessary information about the country of deployment and the behaviour of the local population in the foreign nation.

The closing remark was delivered by Brigadier CA Rajapaksha RSP the commandant of IPSOTSL.
