Major General W H K S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu -The Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army made his maiden visit to Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on 09 March 2024.On arrival at the IPSOTSL, he was warmly welcomed by Major General CA Rajapaksha RSP -The Commandant of IPSOTSL. The Commandant briefed about the ongoing courses which are conducting in IPSOTSL. The course curriculum of Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) sponsor courses, Pre-deployment courses, The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Basic/Advance course and Field Training Exercises. The Chief of Staff addressed the troops of IPSOTSL and emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline as military personnel.

Subsequently, he was invited to plant a Mango sapling to mark his visit to the training establishment and to join for a group photograph with the Commandant and the staff of IPSOTSL.Later, he visited the camp premises in order to witness the training infrastructure facilities of IPSOTSL and provided important guidance to uplift the standards of infrastructure facilities of the institute.
