In concurrence to the 67th corps day anniversary of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps a wreath laying ceremony was organized by the 1 SLAOC to commemorate the fallen war heroes of Ordnance family at the Ordnance war memorial in Panagoda on 13.10.2016. Those who made supreme sacrifice were blessed by religious leaders.

The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps has been celebrated her 67th Anniversary on 14th Oct 2016 in RHQ premises at Dombagoda. This significant occasion was graced by Col Comdt Maj Gen RV Udawatta psc ato. The Col Comdt was accorded with a guard of honour and a parade at the Sch of Ord premises.

The members of Ordnance Seva Vanitha Unit headed by Mrs. N D Udawatta visited Ranaviru Sewana - Ragama on 19 th November 2016. Along with this event, a small gift parcels have distributed among the inmates, donate the essential items worth of Rs.50 000.00 and followed by entertaining musical show. Senior members of Ordnance Seva Vanitha units Senior Offrs, Offrs and more than 50 family members were participated for the event. The event was organised by BOD Ragama , CAAD and ACD under the guidance of Mrs N D Udawatta the president Ordnance Seva Vanitha Unit.

SLAOC Seva Vanitha Unit organized a scholarship and exercise books awarding ceremony according to the unanimous decision taken by its& executive committee and the regimental council of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps in cooperation with the National Savings Bank on 29 December 2016 at the Defence Services College auditorium in Colombo.Maj Gen R V Udawatte psc ato, Colonel Commandant, SLAOC, together with the President, SLAOC Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs N D Udawatte, welcomed the day Chief Guest Lt Gen A W J C De Silva RWP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander of the Army and Mrs. Nayana De Silva, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit at the entrance to the Defence Services College auditorium.
