FELICITATION CEREMONY TO MAJOR GENERAL S A DE C DASSANAYAKE USP

A felicitation ceremony was held to honour Major General SADe C Dassanayake USP who was promoted to the rank of Major General concurrently with his retirement. The customary event was unfolded on 15 February 2019 at Regimental Headquarters’ premises, Dombagoda with the participation of a large number of officers and Other Ranks. On behalf of the Colonel Commandant, all officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment, the Centre Commandant extended the warm wishes to the newly promoted Major General.

Featuring the traditional event, first, he reviewed the Guard Turnout presented by the Regimental Headquarters and accepted the Regimental salute accorded by the Regiment. All officers present were posed for a photograph and tree planning to remarks this occasion with the Major General. The day’s event also textured with the tea party hosted in honour of the outgoing Major General by all Officers and other ranks of the Regiment.
