Maj Gen HGI Vidyananda USP AATO Lsc assumed duties as the new Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance

The most senior ordnance officer, the commander of Forward Maintenance Area- Kilinochchi ,newly appointed Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corpse, Maj Gen HGI Vidyananda USP AATO Lscwas honoured by a guard turnout and a guard of honour by the troops of SLAOC on Monday (17)at the RHQ premises.

On his arrival Col CS Dissanayaka, Commandant of Ordnance School warmly received him at the main entrance on behalf Centre Commandant and guard turnout was given by the troops of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.This formal ceremony was held in order to mark his felicitation as the Colonel Commandant on 17 December 2018.

Afterwards, Maj Gen HGI Vidyananda USP AATO Lsc was honoured with a guard of honour in accordance with military traditions.

Thereafter a brief religious observance was conducted followed by lighting the traditional oil lamp. New colonel commandant placed his signature for a formal document in the presence of Regimental staff to signify the acceptance of duties & responsibilities of the new appointment.

After taking Photograph with Offrs and ORs the new colonel Commandant planted a sapling at camp premises.

Later on,Maj Gen HGI Vidyananda USP AATO Lsc attends to the refreshment and shared a moment with all other Senior Officers, Officers and the Other Ranks.

At the troop address new Col Comdt emphasized the importance of dedication, and how to achieve organizational goals by working as a one group and the important of protecting excising resources.
