Following the recent flooding, troops from the RHQ SLAOC undertook a comprehensive cleaning operation at the Sukitha Handicapped Girls’ Home on 9th of June 2024 in Galpatha. Under the directive of Centre Comdt RHQ SLAOC, Col KMAWK Perera AATO, the soldiers meticulously restored the garden and the interior of the building, ensuring the facility was thoroughly cleaned and ready for use.

A ceremonial farewell was accorded to Major General G A Munasinghe RSP ato, the Director General of Ordnance Services and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, marking his retirement from the Army after a distinguished career spanning more than 34 years of service. This honorable event took place on the 27th of October 2023 at the Regimental Centre in Dombagoda, adhering to military traditions and customs.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Maj Gen C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP paid an official visit to AOI and proceeded to the 1ST BOM meeting of AOI on 11th August 2023. Giving priority to the military customs and traditions Col Comdt of SLAOC Brig G A Munasinghe RSP ato and Commandant of AOI Brig BRA Jayarathne USP ato welcomed the Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army to the AOI.

The Regimental Quarter Master course conducted by School of Ordnance was commenced from 07th March 2023 to 06th April 2023. There were 54 Senior Non-commissioned Officers from all the regiments and the opening address was on 07th March 2023 .The commandant of the School of Ordnance was graced the occasion as the chief guest.
