The execution of PTE TO L/CPL promotion course was commenced from 07th March 2023 to 06th April 2023 with 126 student soldiers. The opening address was on 07th March 2023 .The commandant of the School Of Ordnance was graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Ananda Sasthralaya, Kotte had its annual Sports Meet at Baddegana play ground on 12th January 2023 after lapse of three years due to Covid pandemic. The eventful and much-awaited annual feature, filled with excitement, skills and entertainment assumed greater significance when the Commander FMA(N/C) and the Col Comdt of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Major General MEP Weerasinha USP ato graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Head Prefect of School along with Principal and members of the Old Boys Association welcomed after offering sheaves of betel to the Chief Guest on arrival at the venue and conducted him to the turn out daise with the school band. Afterwards, he was invited to take the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by school cadets as formalities. Trophies and prizes to the winners were given away by the Chief Guest.

Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps on Thuday 17 November 2022 in a fitting goodbye ceremony at the Regimental Centre in Dombagoda farewell one of its exemplary Senior Officers, Major General G K I Vithanachchi ato, the Director General Ordnance Services retired from the Army after a distinguished career of more than 34 years of service.
