The Commander Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Maj Gen E M M Fernando Hdms Lsc AATO conducted a comprehensive administrative inspection at the 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Anuradhapura on 21st February 2025 adhering to the military customs and traditions.
Commencing the formal proceedings, and in keeping with military decorum, he was honored with a Guard turnout and the Commanding Officer of 2 SLAOC accorded him a distinguished welcome at the main entrance . In a symbolic gesture to commemorate the occasion, the Commander Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of SLAOC proceeded to plant a sapling within the camp premises, thereby leaving a lasting mark of his visit, followed by an official group photograph.
Subsequently, the Commanding Officer delivered a comprehensive briefing, meticulously elucidating the administrative framework, operational readiness, and structural organization of the unit. As the inspection progressed, the Colonel Commandant conducted an exhaustive review of each echelon, offering invaluable insights and directives for the progressive enhancement of the establishment.
During his address to the troops, the Colonel Commandant expressed his profound appreciation for the collective diligence, discipline, and unwavering commitment demonstrated by all ranks in upholding the highest standards of military efficiency. Furthermore, he delineated his strategic vision for the unit, emphasizing the paramount importance of technical proficiency, administrative excellence, and continuous professional development.
