  • COLONEL G A I S NANAYAKKARA AATO ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE COMMANDANT Of SCHOOL OF ORDNANCE

    Colonel G A I S Nanayakkara, AATO, officially assumed duties as the Commandant of the School of Ordnance during a formal ceremony conducted in accordance with military traditions. The proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout in his honour, followed by the planting of a sapling to symbolise the beginning of his tenure, a group photograph with the staff, and a solemn religious observance. He thereafter formally accepted his responsibilities by signing the official document in the presence of the staff.The new commandant paid tribute to the fallen heroes of SLAOC by placing a Floral wreath at the Monument, paying tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by the brave sons of the Regiment.

    Colonel CT Siriwardana Lsc AATO officially assumed duties as the 32nd Commandant of the Central Arms and Ammunition Depot during a formal ceremony, marking the beginning of his tenure. The event adhered to military traditions, commencing with a Guard Turnout in his honour.

  • NEWLY COMMISSIONED OFFICERS MEET THE QUARTER MASTER GENERAL AND COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SLAOC

    Six newly commissioned officers of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, including three lady officers, met the Quarter Master General and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Major General W M S N Wijekoon ndc AATO on 2 January 2026 at RHQ SLAOC. During the meeting, the Colonel Commandant emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, professionalism, and excellence in their careers.

  • 2ND REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS ORGANIZED A MILK RICE DANSELA ON 1ST JANUARY 2026

    The 2nd Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps conducted a Milk Rice Dansela near the sacred Ruwanwelimahaseya, Anuradhapura, on 1st January 2026 to welcome the New Year. The programme was carried out under the guidance of the Seva Vanitha Ordnance Branch with the meticulous planning of the Commanding Officer, Major MGEM Abeykoon psc Lsc AATO SLAOC, further assistance of the Second-in-Command, Officers, and all ranks of the regiment.The event reflected goodwill and promoted communal harmony at the commencement of the New Year.

  • FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO “DITWA” CYCLONE VICTIMS BY THE 1ST REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS

    In keeping with the humanitarian responsibilities of the Sri Lanka Army, financial assistance was extended to six (06) Other Ranks affected by the “Ditwa” cyclone through a collective initiative of all ranks of the 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps. This welfare measure, spearheaded by all Officers and supported by all ranks, reflects the Corps’ strong sense of unity and compassion. The assistance provided is intended to support the affected personnel during the recovery and rebuilding phase following the disaster.

The drive has been named in recognition of Major General Lionel Aluvihare’s pivotal role in identifying and selecting the present camp premises, a decisive contribution that laid the foundation for the establishment and continued development of the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.

  • PIRITH CHANTING CEREMONY HELD AT THE SCHOOL OF ORDNANCE TO INVOKE BLESSINGS FOR THE NATION AND THE SLAOC
