    Study Tours intend to bring knowledge and pleasure through outings. On 05 April, 2022, a delegation of 44 naval personnel including 3 officers at the Naval Military Academy (NMA), Trincomalee toured the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) as one of the fine destinations of their annual study tour. At their arrival to the military academy, the delegation was warmly welcomed at the main entrance by the Adjutant-OCW along with a few representatives of the Cadet Government.

    On 26 March 2022 A delegation of 148 including 131 Student Officers from Senior Command Course and Junior Staff Course along with the Chief Instructor, Senior Officers and Directing Staff of the Army War College (AWC) visited the Sri Lanka Military Academy with the intention of educating the student officers on ceremonial drills.

    Lt Col E W R S B Ehelepola USP USACGSC of the Gajaba Regiment who performed duties as the Chief Instructor of the Military Training Wing (MTW) assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet Wing on 15 March and the significant moment was treasured by conducting a ceremonial parade consisting of 21 officers, 62 NCOs and 96 officer cadets representing four cadet companies, the Training Support Company and the Admin Company at the academy parade square.

    The 74th Independence Day carried a significance that a record number of Officers and Other Ranks were received their promotions to their next rank. The jubilant moment was intensified by promoting 7 Senior Brigadiers to the rank of Major General. The fortune was stepped at the military academy, Diyatalawa as the commandant of SLMA, Brigadier WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP USP ndu psc received his promotion from the the President upon the recommendations of Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
