    The 125th Drill Instructor Course consisting of 139 Non-Commissioned Officers began to sail its journey of a comprehensive and intensive drill instructor course for four months. The course curriculum has been designed to produce knowledgeable, disciplined and skillful drill instructors to the Sri Lanka Army .

  • 35TH COMMANDANT ASSUMES OFFICE

    On 16th July 2021, a felicitating ceremony for the 35th Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy, Brigadier WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP USP ndu psc was held. The ceremonial parade comprising of four squads was commanded by Head of the Training Team Lt Col SDKWMMI Weliwita RWP RSP USP psc of Gajaba Regiment. Upon arrival, he laid a wreath at the Monument of Peace in paying tribute to fallen war heroes.

    Lieutenant Colonel E W R S B Ehelepola USP USACGSC of the Gajaba Regiment (GR) assumed duties on Wednesday (07) as the new Chief Instructor (CI) of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA). Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, taking over of duties was carried out in accordance with the stipulated health guidelines.

    In general, ‘Accounts’ play a vital role in any organization with regard to income and expenditure. As such, the knowledge on accounts is essential for military personnel in handling financial matters with transparency and accuracy. Meanwhile, ‘Tamil’, one of the official languages in Sri Lanka, holds a prominent position in social communication in a multi-ethnic community, and Tamil literacy of military personnel has an added advantage in performing their duties, especially in Northern and Eastern Provinces of the country.

  • NAVAL CADETS ANCHOR AT SLMA

    ‘Study Tours’ an integral part of defence academic curriculums enable military students to interact, network and enrich their learning and social development in diverse settings. A batch of forty-one Officer Cadets from the Naval and Maritime Academy, Trincomalee toured the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on Thursday (08 April) along with three Officers. Upon their arrival Senior Officer Cadets warmly welcomed them to the Academy and the significance of the “Monument of Peace” and ‘Parade Ground’ was convinced to them.
