From 23 February to 1 March 2025, the SLMA participated in An Officer Cadet Exchange Programme at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun. Led by Major HTM Thilikasiri from the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, the programme saw four Officer Cadets from Intake 93 of SLMA engage in a week-long exchange with their Indian counterparts. The initiative aimed to strengthen military ties and provide mutual learning opportunities between the two institutions.

The SLMA actively contributed to the national Clean Sri Lanka project by organizing a comprehensive camp premises cleaning programme on 12 March 2025. The initiative aligned with the Government’s broader vision of fostering a cleaner and more sustainable nation through its three key pillars: Environmental, Ethical, and Social.

In honour of the 38th outgoing Commandant, Major General U L J S Perera RSP USP psc, the Sri Lanka Military Academy organized a memorable farewell ceremony on 4th and, 5th January 2025.

On 1st January 2025, a flag hoisting ceremony was conducted at the SLMA marking the first working day of the year. During the event, the National Flag and the SLMA Flag were hoisted by the Deputy Commandant and the Commanding Officer of the Administrative Wing, respectively. The ceremony was attended by a section of officers and soldiers serving at SLMA. Following the flag hoisting, the government’s pledge was read aloud by the Adjutant, with all attendees reciting it afterward. Subsequently, the troops viewed the President’s address on the government’s "Clean Sri Lanka" national initiative, with the objective of making a fruitful transformation in moral, environmental and social aspects of communities.
