Sewa Wanitha

A religious observance was conducted at the sacred Ruwanwelimahaseya, symbolizing a profound act of devotion and respect. This sacred ceremony aimed to invoke blessings for the well-being, prosperity, and spiritual fortitude of the families and the lives of the participants.

As part of the series of events commemorating the 75th anniversary of SLAOC, a formal ceremony was held on 13 October 2024 at the War Heroes Monument, located at the "Home of Ordnance". Inspiring the thoughts of Col Comdt, SLAOC SVB, led by its President, Mrs. Iresha Fernando, together with the members of SVB organized a series of activities to honour the families of fallen War Heroes and to highlight the Corps' enduring commitment to the welfare of those who bear the loss of soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the nation's sovereignty.

In commemoration of the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), as well as in recognition of World Elders' Day, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the SLAOC, in collaboration with the School of Ordnance, spearheaded a community outreach initiative at the "Mawpiya Sewana" Elders' Home in Horana on 01 October 2024
