In conjunction with the monthly activities of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, on 14 September 2024, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, in collaboration with the AOI & ACD,organized a brief ceremony to present essential items and dry ration packs to the 26 civil staff members working in the AOI, CAAD & ACD.
Expanding SLAOC Seva Vanitha branch’s welfare roles, the 4(V) SLAOC held its Annual seva vanitha event at the Child Development Centre in Wattegama on June 27, 2024.
The most meritorious acts in Buddhist culture, including the "Kanchuka Pooja," "Ashta Pana Bodhi Pooja," and "Heel Danaya," were observed at the Somawathie Raja Maha Viharaya on June 1 and 2, 2024. The events were held under the guidance of Mrs. Iresha Fernando, President of the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch, and supervised by Major General EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, the Logistics Commander - SFHQ (J), Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, and Major BDR Perera psc Lsc AATO SLAOC, the Commanding Officer of 3 SLAOC.
In a noble effort to enhance the mental stability and wellness of individuals with psychiatric disabilities, the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch, along with several senior members of SLAOC-SVB, senior Officers, and their families, visited the National Institute of Mental Health in Mulleriyawa on Saturday, May 25,2024.
Under the supervision and guidance of the Logistics Commander - SFHQ (J) and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Major General EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, along with the President of SLAOC-SVB, Mrs. Iresha Fernando accompanied by Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps organized dansal programmes on Vesak Poya Day in several Ordnance establishments in islandwide.
The Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps along with the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC- SVB) held a traditional New Year festival to mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year on 27 April 2024 at the SLAOC Rugger ground with the participation of a large crowd of senior members of the SLAOC- SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civil staff members and their families. The specially all the invitees were welcomed respectfully as per the Sinhalese tradition by 'Arachchi' and family with offering a sheaf of beetle.
