Sewa Wanitha

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch in 2024 transpired on the 27th of January, held under the esteemed patronage of the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North) and the Colonel Commandant SLAOC, Major General EMM. Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, within the distinguished confines of the conference hall at the School of Ordnance, Dombagoda. The AGM was presided over by the Honorable President of the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Iresha Fernando, and was graced by the presence of the Seva Vanitha Branch Executive Committee and its esteemed members with some spouses of Other Ranks.

Mrs. Iresha Dilrukshi Fernando assumed the role of Chairperson for the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Brach (SLAOC - SVB) on 07^th November 2023 in a modest ceremony held at the SLAOC Regimental Headquarters.

The aforementioned events were organized by 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps with the guidance of Mrs. R Shiroma Dhammi Fernando - the President of Seva Vanitha Ordnance branch. The Commander of the FMA(N), The Col Comdt of SLAOC Maj Gen RLC Fernando AATO, Senior Offrs, Offrs, Senior members of Ordnance Seva Vanitha branch and ORs of more than 350 family members and close relatives of 61 war heroes of SLAOC, who made supreme sacrifice to defend the motherland, were participated for these events. The "Kapruk Pooja" was held at "Ruwanwelisaya" in Anuradhapura in the evening on 7th March 2020. In addition, "Kiri Ahara Poojawa" was offered on the following day morning at "Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya" in Anuradhapura, It was followed by a "bana-breaching" in order to offer blessings for the late war heroes of SLAOC.
