A religious observance was conducted at the sacred Ruwanwelimahaseya, symbolizing a profound act of devotion and respect. This sacred ceremony aimed to invoke blessings for the well-being, prosperity, and spiritual fortitude of the families and the lives of the participants.
The event was held under the guidance of Mrs. Iresha Fernando, the President of the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch and supervised by Maj Gen EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, the Colonel Commandant of SLAOC and the Commanding Officer of 2 SLAOC Maj MGEM Abeykoon psc Lsc AATO with great reverence and commitment.
The Pujawa not only served as a spiritual observance but also reinforced the bond of unity and shared purpose among all ranks.This significant occasion underscored the importance of spiritual reflection in the life of the unit, as well as its dedication to upholding cultural traditions.
During the event, a variety of books were distributed to children of Other ranks of 2 SLAOC, fostering a love for learning. The initiative not only provided essential educational materials but also followed by a refreshemt.
Moreover on 23rd February 2025, a Kiriahara pujawa was conducted at devine Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya by the president of SLAOC - SVB Mrs Iresha Fernando and the Colonel Comdt of SLAOC Maj Gen EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, members of seva wanitha branch, Director of Ord Svcs, Other Senior Officers and Officers of SLAOC with the aim of invoking blessings with great reverence and commitment.
