SLAOC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CONDUCTS WELFARE INITIATIVE AT APEKSHA HOSPITAL, MAHARAGAMA

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) conducted a welfare initiative at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, on 29 March 2025. This event, organized as part of the branch's monthly welfare activities, aimed to extend support to patients in need.

Under the guidance and patronage of Major General EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Commander Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of the SLAOC, the initiative was successfully executed under the leadership of Mrs Iresha Fernando, President of the SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch.

As part of this programme, essential medical supplies worth Rs. 200,000.00 were donated to the hospital. The contribution, made possible by the generosity of the Seva Vanitha Branch’s membership, underscores the Corps' continued commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.

The ceremony was attended by Major General EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO and Mrs Iresha Fernando, along with senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, senior officers, officers, and other ranks. Their presence highlighted the significance of this event in the Corps' welfare calendar.

The SLAOC Seva Vanitha Branch remains dedicated to its mission of supporting military personnel, their families, and the broader community through various charitable activities, reinforcing the Sri Lanka Army’s role in nation-building and humanitarian assistance.
