In concurrence to the 68th corps day anniversary of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps a wreath laying ceremony was organized by the 1 SLAOC to commemorate the fallen war heroes of Ordnance family at the Ordnance War Memorial in Panagoda on 13 Oct 2017.Major General BS Vidanage, Colonel Commandant of SLAOC was the Chief Guest of this ceremony andmany senior Officers, family members and close relatives of fallen war heroes were presented at the event.The Colonel Commandant, Senior Officers and close relatives of the fallen war heroes laid floral wreath to monument of war heroes andpaid their sincere tribute on fallen war heroes.

In concurrence to the 68 Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps a Cocktail was organized by Warrant Officers & Sergeants on 20October 2017with the participation of all the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers. The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Major General BS Vidanage and warmly welcomed by the Regimental Sergeant Major, WO I KNR Garusinghe USP.

Renovated Ordnance Holiday Bungalow at Diyatalawa was ceremonially opened by Major General BSVidanage theColonel CommandantofSri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps on 27 November 2017.The facilities of the bungalow entitle for both serving and retired officer and other rankers of the regiment at compassionate rate.Many seniorofficers and other rankersattended for the event.
