Maj WSD Fernando ato Lsc SLAOC was honoured by a guard turnout as the 12th Commanding Officer of 3rd Regiment of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (Minneriya).
On his arrival Maj WDPK Withana psc SLAOC, 2nd In Command warmly received him at the main entrance on behalf of all the Officers and ORs. The guard turnout was given by the troops of 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps. This formal ceremony was held in order to mark his felicitation as 12th Commanding Officer on 02 January 2020.
During the brief religious observance, the Commanding Officer placed his signature for a formal document in the presence of 3rd Regimental staff to signify the acceptance of duties and responsibilities of the new appointment.
Thereafter, Commanding Officer planted a sapling at the camp premises and addressed the troops. Finally, enjoyed a refreshment organized by the staff and shared a moment with Officers and the Other Ranks.
