A notable undertaking commenced with the cultivation of 10,000 tea saplings on Saturday, April 27th, within a designated area of the Ordnance Cricket Complex. This marks the initiation of the Tea Plantation Project, spanning over 2 acres. The endeavor was led and supervised by the Logistics Command - Jaffna and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps. The Log Comd - Jaffna and the Col Comdt of SLAOC, Maj Gen Menaka Fernando and President of SVB - SLAOC, Mrs. Iresha Fernando graced the occasion as chief guests, joined by several senior Officers and Officers.
