The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Maj Gen C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP paid an official visit to AOI and proceeded to the 1ST BOM meeting of AOI on 11th August 2023. Giving priority to the military customs and traditions Col Comdt of SLAOC Brig G A Munasinghe RSP ato and Commandant of AOI Brig BRA Jayarathne USP ato welcomed the Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army to the AOI.
As per the itinerary first, he received the drive pass presented by the AOI. He sat for the photograph marking the visit memorable. The Commandant of the AOI briefed the Sri Lank Army Deputy Chief on the functional aspects of the AOI.
After, the Deputy Chief of Staff accompanied by members of BOM visited the AOI premises and inspected all production sections of the AOI. Furthermore, he gave necessary instructions to increase productivity and highly appreciated the effort of AOI staff for their contribution to strengthening the effectiveness and readiness of the Army.
According to the program, the first Board of Management meeting was held and collaborative decisions were made to shape the future of Army Ordnance Industries.
The day’s proceedings culminated with an interaction session with all officers at the Officer's mess. Finally, he penned his thoughts and good wishes in the visitor’s books and expressed his appreciation to all Officers and ORs of AOI.
