Alma Mater Honours Senior Officer Inviting Him To Award Ceremony

Ananda Sasthralaya, Kotte had its annual Sports Meet at Baddegana playground on 12th January 2023 after lapse of three years due to Covid pandemic. The eventful and much-awaited annual feature, filled with excitement, skills and entertainment assumed greater significance when the Commander FMA(N/C) and the Col Comdt of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Major General MEP Weerasinha USP ato graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Head Prefect of School along with Principal and members of the Old Boys Association welcomed after offering sheaves of betel to the Chief Guest on arrival at the venue and conducted him to the turn out daise with the school band. Afterwards, he was invited to take the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by school cadets as formalities. Trophies and prizes to the winners were given away by the Chief Guest.

The Commander FMA(N/C) and Col Comdt of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Maj Gen MEP Weerasinha USP ato, addressed the participants of the Sports Meet and staff of the College where he emphasized that children are the future of our nation and that it was an honour and a pleasure to have been invited as the Chief Guest.
