COLONEL COMMANDANT RECEIVES NEW INSIGNIA FROM COMMANDER OF THE ARMY

General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil, the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army on Saturday (09) at the “Home of Keterians”, Saliyapura, adorned just promoted Major General Priyantha Weerasinghe USP ato, the Director Ordnance Servicers and Colonel Commandant of SLAOC with his new “Major General” insignia on his epaulettes, after extending the former’s best wishes for performance of his continued duties as the Director Ordnance Servicers and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.

While wishing him good luck with his future prospects, Commander of the Army presented the Colonel Commandant with the symbolic sword that signifies the authority of his new rank.
