3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps celebrated the 24th anniversary on 23rd February 2021. A series of programmes were conducted under supervision of the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Dananjaya Fernando ato Lsc in order to celebrate the event.
In parallel to the 24th anniversary a “Muruthan Poojawa” was held at Minneriya Wawe Dewalaya on 20th February 2021 and “Bodhi Pooja Pinkama” was held at Somawathi Raja Maha Viharaya on 21st February 2021 with the participation of all ranks to invoke the blessings of Triple Gem.
On 23rd February 2021 a Guard Turnout was accorded to the Commanding Officer and planted a “Naa Tree” sapling by the Commanding Officer to mark the day as memorable. Also the Commanding Officer laid foundation stone for the construction of a new Cpls’ Club on the same day.
The Commanding Officer joined with All Ranks for a tea and group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion. As the final segment of the day All Rank lunch was organized at the ORs’ Mess followed by a troop address by the Commanding Officer.
