1. Maj HKSS Dilantha USP psc ato, who was born on 04 February 1982 is a proud product of Central College, Beliatta. This Senior Officer joined the regular force of Sri Lanka Army on 07th November 2004 as an Officer Cadet of KDA intake 22. Upon successful completion of basic military training at Kotelawala Defence University and Military Academy Diyathalawa, he was commissioned in the rank of Second Lieutenant and posted to the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps on 24th September 2007.
2. During his military career, he has held various appointments in both operational and non operational areas including Group Officer 2 SLAOC(ANP), Officer Commanding– Forward Ordnance Depot 51 Div-Jaffna, Officer Commanding–Ordnance Store Section- Katubedda, , Seva Vanitha Coord Officer –RHQ SLAOC, Staff Officer II(Acct) RHQ SLAOC, Staff Officer II(A) RHQ SLAOC Staff Officer II (A) 56 Div- Vavunia, Group Officer at Defence Headquarters Complex-Akuregoda, Staff Officer II– Master General Ordnance Branch, AHQ, Chief Instructor – School of Ordnance, Dombagoda, Group Officer – Dte of Ord Svcs, 2nd in Command – 2 SLAOC. Presently this senior Officer is serving as the Commanding Officer 6 SLAOC- Kilinochchi.
3. To his credit, he has attended a number of local and foreign courses and visits of academic and professional value. It includes BSc (Management & Technical Sciences)-KDU, Junior Staff Course 3 at OCDC- Buttala, Basic Ordnance Officer Course –Pakistan, Diploma in Ammunition Engineering at Ordnance Engineering Collage- China, English Proficiency Course –KDU, Passed Staff College no 11-DSCSC Sapugaskanda, MSc (Defence & Strategic Studies)-KDU, Diploma in Public Procurement & Contract Administration at Metropolitan Campus –Colombo, Senior Command Course 7 –AWC Buttala and DSCSC academic visit to India.
4. The Senior Officer has been conferred with Uththama Sewa Padakkama, East Humanitarian Operation Medal, North Humanitarian Operation Medal, Purna Bhumi Padakkama, North & East Operation Medal, Sri Lanka Armed Services Long Service Medal 1979, Sevabhimani medal & Service Medal during his illustrious service in the Army.
5. He is married to Mrs. Dilani Kodithuwakku and blessed with two loving sons and a daughter named Dilan Minhas, Thesara Minsandi and Pamindu Minsas.
