FELICITATION PARADE TO THE MAJOR GENERAL H.G.I VIDYANANDA USP AATO Lsc

Major General H.G.I Vidyananda USP AATO Lsc was honoured with a guard turnout and guard of honour on his promotion to the rank of Major General by the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps on 07 July 2018.

The newly promoted Major General was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant on behalf of the Colonel Commandant whilst extending the good wishes of the Regiment and all Officers in Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.

A Guard Turnout at the main gate greeted him and thereafter he took salute of the Guard of Honour in conformity with military traditions. Then he reviewed the Guard Turnout presented and accepted the salute of the Guard of Honour.

After the military honours, he planted a sapling in the Regimental Headquarters premises. Later, he posed for a group photograph with all Officers present. After taking Photograph with offrs, he was blessed with pirith chanting by maga sangha. The day ceremony was concluded with the subsequent events of all ranks tea party and courtesy lunch at the Officers Mess. Council members, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers attended for this significant event.
