Colonel SMWBN Thalagahawaththa ato assumed duties as the Center Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps on 06th March 2018 in a simple ceremony held at RHQ SLAOC, Dombagoda.
Beginning the day’s events newly appointed center commandant reviewed the guard turnout presented by the RHQ. Thereafter a brief religious observance was conducted followed by lighting the traditional oil lamp. New center commandant placed his signature for a formal document in the presence of Regimental staff to signify the acceptance of duties & responsibilities of the new appointment.
The day’s proceedings was culminated by a troop address, planting of a tree sapling followed by a all rank tea.
