SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING SESSION ON PROCUREMENT PROCESS

The two-day workshop on procurement process conducted for grade 1 and grade 2 officers at AHQ on 24th and 25th July 2024. The workshop was organized by the Sch of Ord collaboration with Directorate of Training, under the guidance of Director General General Staff Maj Gen S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc.

The Chief Of Staff Maj Gen S R B Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc made the opening remarks and Director Ordnance Services Brig B R A Jayarathna USP ato delivered the key note of the session. The lectures were conducted by the Col V D Warushavithana ato, Lt Col W S D Fernando Lsc ato, Lt Col S D Range USP Lsc AATO and Maj K M T R Ulapane USP psc ato.

The workshop was covered introduction of procurement process, Tender calling notice/Bidding documents/Tender guidelines, Tender opening/submitting of samples, Appointing of Technical Evaluation Committees, Evaluation of bidders/Vendors/Selection of successful bidders, Responsibilities of Technical Evaluation Committee, Financial limits/Types of Tender boards/Conducting of tenders, Tender awarding, Supplying of goods, Recalling of tenders and Introduction of e-GP.
