NEW COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF ORDNANCE, BRIGADIER PRIYANTHA WEERASINGHE ASSUMES OFFICE

The Corps of Ordnance presented military honours and warm greetings to the newly appointed Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Brigadier Priyantha Weerasinghe USP ato, the Director Ordnance Services- AHQ, during a formal ceremony held on 10th August 2021 at the Regimental Headquarters SLAOC, Dombagoda as he arrived at the premises as the 24th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.

As the initial military formality, the new Colonel Commandant Brigadier Priyantha Weerasinghe USP ato was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Ajith Munasinghe RSP ato the Centre Commandant at the entrance to the Regimental Headquarters and invited him to receive the Guard Turnout salute.

Then in the office, new Colonel Commandant placed his signature for an official document to symbolize the acceptance of his new office.

Brigadier Priyantha Weerasinghe USP ato succeeded Major General Chandana Marasinghe RSP USP who retired from the service on 09th August 2021.
