Major HMSS Bandara USP ato Lsc SLAOC assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps on 13th August 2021 at Headquarters 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Panagoda.

As a symbolic gesture of taking over the command, Major HMSS Bandara USP ato Lsc SLAOC placed his signature for a formal document after a brief religious observance.
