Inter Regiment Vollyball tournament 2018 was successfully held at Panagoda Indoor Stadium on 21st February 2019. Out of Vollyball teams represented by all Army Regiments, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) Vollyball team and Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) Vollyball team selected for the final. During the final battle, SLAOC Vollyball team won the title and became the champions of Inter Regiment Vollyball tournament 2018 with the rhythmic cheering on glamorous way.
The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake was the Chief guest of the event. the special invitees were Deputy Chief of Staffand Colonel Commandant of Vijayabahu Regiment Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General Rukmal Dias, Chairman of the Army Volleyball Committee and Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA) Major General Devinda Perera, Director General Sports (DG Sports) Major General Aruna Sudasingha, Colonel Comdts of all Regiments, Commanding Officers, Senior officers were enthusiastically witnessing the final.
Quarter Master General (AHQ) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Major General Indrajith Vidyananda and Centre Comdt of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Brig Nandana Thalagahawatta, Senior Officers and number of other rankers and Vollyball fans were gathered for witness the finals.
